Viviane Chassot is a Swiss Classical Accordionist currently living in Basel, Switzerland. If you pass by the area of St. Alban, you might hear the sounds of an accordion through the windows. Sometimes you might even see random people standing below, listening to the incredible sounds encompassing this old Basel neighbourhood. This month, I finally got to meet the mystery musician.

With incredible sensitivity and so much emotion, Viviane describes what inspires her.

Her work includes writing on blackboards and window panels for various businesses, creating unique and eye-catching store front windows that attract new customers. Myriam Hidber: Flutist

Myriam Hidber Dickinson was born and raised in Switzerland. Music has always been a great part of her life from a very early age. She received a BA in music with Felix Renggli at the Schaffhausen Conservatory and a MA in music with Marianne Stucki at the Zurich Musikhochschule. Currently she has a very active performing career in various chamber music settings (with modern as well as historical instruments) in Switzerland, Brazil, Italy, Austria, the USA and France, as well as a soloist with various orchestras in Switzerland, the Ukraine, Serbia and Bulgaria. She has done extensive teaching and concert tours with music conservatories, universities and orchestras in Brazil and the USA. She is teaching at the present at Music School "Zuercher Unterland" and teaches regularly masterclasses in Brazil, Germany, USA and Switzerland.

Lydia Zimmer: Literaturecho

Lydia Zimmer, Born and raised in Weimar, Germany, Lydia arrived to Basel 10 years ago following her passion of books and literature. Now she moderates literature events as well as create weekend trips to her home town in Weimar. She also plans weekend reading retreats in Switzerland for people to connect with their books and enjoy weekends of reading and discussing books with others.

Carmit Natan: Soprano Singer

Born in Jerusalem, Israel Carmit came to Basel following her love for Baroque music. As a touring artist, Carmit presents with her exceptional sopran voice music of the Baroque and Classical styles, and communicates with her audiences through music of the past. Her academic path includes graduate studies in Biology, which remains a fascination, while her deep passion led her to be dedicated to the art of singing.
